The Fifth World Conference on Metaphysics will be held at the ARSO Convention Center (Via Aurelia 773, 00165 Rome), November 8-10, 2012.

Since the year 2000 the Conference has invited thinkers from numerous disciplines to reflect on the ways in which conceptions of the absolute or ultimate reality influence and interact with varied fields of human understanding, creativity, and experience (anthropology, general culture, economics, law, epistemology, the mystical dimension, medicine and the healing professions, education, empirical science, ethics, political life, and the arts).

Abstracts (maximum 250 words) must be sent by June 30, and the final texts of presentations must be submitted by August 31, 2012 in order to prepare them for distribution at the Conference.

There will also be a post-Conference Seminar, November 12-14, entitled The Renewal of Metaphysical and Mystical Perspectives: Social, Cultural, and Scientific Implications. This Seminar will be especially devoted to the relevance of Fernando Rielo’s work for contemporary thought. These sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the afternoons will be left free.
