A Mirror to Our Culture: Sport and Society in America

The Sport and Society in America conference invites proposals for
individual papers focused on the philosophy of sport. The conference
welcomes submissions on any topic related to the philosophy of sport,
including (but not limited to) the ethics of sport, the socio-
political function of sport, and the epistemology and ontology of
sport.  Special consideration will be given to papers that, without
sacrificing philosophical rigor, are wholly or partially accessible to
a non-specialist audience.

The conference will be hosted by St. Norbert College and the Green Bay
Packers. Deadline for submission of abstracts is January 23, 2012.
