Call for Papers: Social, Political, and Ethical Perspectives on Autism

On April 28th, 2012 a conference on Social, Political & Ethical
Perspectives on Autism will be held at the Meadowlands campus of
Bergen Community College. The featured speaker will be Ari Ne’eman,
president of the Autistic Self-Advocacy Network and chair of the
National Council on Disability’s Policy and Program Evaluation
Committee. We welcome academic paper submissions from psychology,
philosophy, sociology, bioethics and other disciplines on any topic
related psychological, social, political, and ethical issues related
to autism, broadly construed. We also welcome proposals from
educators, practitioners, individuals on the spectrum, and their
advocates.

Length: Please send abstracts of no more than 150 words. All proposals
should be for 20-30 minute presentations.

Format: Please submit abstract in .doc, .docx, .pdf, .rtf, or .txt
format.

(4) Author’s institutional affiliation (5) Author’s email address

(6) Please indicate whether you would be willing to serve as a
commentator should your paper not be accepted.
Deadline: All submissions must be received by February 1st, 2012.
