Providence College: The Department of Philosophy invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship, commencing August 1, 2012.  Candidates must possess a Ph.D. from an accredited institution and demonstrate excellence in undergraduate teaching, the ability to establish a scholarly research program, and a willingness to be active in service to the college and community.  Successful candidate must have a primary research interest in the philosophy of Catholic social thought.  Prospective candidates should be supportive of the department’s commitment to the history of philosophy, be willing to do interdisciplinary team teaching in the College’s Development of Western Civilization Program, as well as teach service courses.
